Carey Olsen Supports Bloomsbury Money’s Jersey Licensing Milestone

DMALINK Jersey Limited has strengthened its regulated presence in Jersey after receiving approval from the Jersey Financial Services Commission for a money services business licence, with legal advice provided by Carey Olsen. The business will operate under the name Bloomsbury Money.

The licence marks a further step in the company’s Jersey strategy. Bloomsbury Money already holds a virtual asset service provider registration on the Island, and the new MSB licence broadens the range of services it can offer to clients.

Its platform is aimed at corporate, institutional and high net worth private wealth clients, combining daily banking tools with services designed for both fiat and digital assets. Planned features include virtual and real IBANs, debit and credit cards, and fiat-to-digital asset functionality within a single environment.

With access to more than 100 currencies on demand, Bloomsbury Money is positioning the platform as a unified solution for everything from routine corporate payments to more complex digital asset conversions. The development reflects its wider ambition to connect conventional financial infrastructure with the growing digital asset sector.

Carey Olsen’s advisory team was led by partner Christopher Griffin, with support from regulatory specialist lawyer Sophie Hancock. Griffin described the licence as an important development for Jersey’s fintech and digital finance landscape, highlighting the Island’s regulatory framework as capable of supporting firms operating across both established and emerging areas of financial services.

Michael Siwek, Founder of Bloomsbury Money, said the company’s goal was not simply to create another banking app, but to build a connection between institutional-grade foreign exchange technology and everyday banking. He said the platform is intended to make fiat and digital assets work together in a practical way for treasurers and private offices.
